Saumya Bandyopadhyay's work can be described as a relationship between dream and dreamers, which transform something into a surreal and fantasy dreamworld.

The implicit comparison between the real and imaginary tends to get quite fuzzy in his paintings which are full of metaphors. His imaginative experiments, in deciphering the co- relation of form and content, action and passion, existence and vision, literally describes his art world.
