Harshil Patel

Harshil Patel (b. 1982, India) received his Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Art & Design, University of the Arts London, after studying at Sheth C. N. College of Fine Arts. His practice draws upon the devotional aesthetics of traditional Pichwai painting, reinterpreting its symbolic imagery and rich decorative vocabulary within a contemporary visual language. Alongside this engagement with tradition, his work is shaped by close observation of historic architecture and urban environments, often explored through en plein air painting. Patel has exhibited in India and London, and his works are held in public and private collections internationally.
